Your Academic Counselor will work with you one-on-one throughout your BGS Program to periodically reassess your educational and career goals and to develop a plan of study that satisfies your academic interests and your degree requirements.
To earn your Bachelor of General Studies Degree you will:
- Earn a minimum of 120 credits towards graduation with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Satisfy the University’s General Education Requirements
- Fulfill the University-wide residency requirement
- Complete a minimum of 30 credits at the 2000-level or above from either courses taken at the University of Connecticut or courses that transferred at that level into the University of Connecticut
BGS students have the option to pursue a Minor in a variety of academic subjects.
